A youth has attacked his classmate in a college in Bengaluru with an axe, claiming that she cheated him. The girl has been hospitalized.Yogesh attacked the 19-year-old girl with an axe at around 9.30 am on Saturday when she came to RES Polytechnic where they both study electrical engineering. She sustained injuries on her head, neck and hands.Police say that he had been harassing the girl for the last one-and-a-half-years, and that she had complained to the college authorities. Her parents too, had warned Yogesh to stay away from her. Police claim that he attacked the girl because he was enraged by this and claimed that she had cheated him.
