Bengaluru cop wins gold at world police tennis event

 A top Bengaluru cop has won the gold at a tennis tournament for police personnel from around the world.BNS Reddy, Additional Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, has won a gold medal at the men's singles tennis event at the Fairfax World Police and Fire Games 2015 in Virginia, US. The games are held to "honor and celebrate" public safety officers from around the world. According to a Bangalore Mirror report, the 57-year-old Reddy defeated Bruce Barrihos of USA in straight sets 7-5, 7-6."It is an awesome experience playing at the world level. I am the first person from Karnataka and south India and the second Indian to win gold in the World Police and Fire Games, so far," Reddy told the newspaper. As many as 400 men and women from 70 countries particpated in the singles and doubles tennis event whereas a total of around 1,000 athletes took part in the games, adds the report.    All images source: Bengaluru City Police/Facebook
