Bangalore temple priest allegedly bangs Dalit boy's head against wall

The News Minute | October 21, 2014 | 12.48 pm ISTA Dalit boy was allegedly thrashed by a temple priest in Bangalore on Sunday, as the boy entered the sanctum sanctorum.According to a report in The New Indian Express, the incident took place at the Rudreshwara temple in Nelamangala, on the outskirts of Bangalore. The priest reportedly beat the eight-year-old boy and even banged his head against the wall after he found the boy in the sanctum sanctorum when he went to perform a pooja in the evening. The child was taken to a hospital and treated. Police however, have said that the boy’s parents had refused to file a complaint, but were looking into the case.
