Director Prem will be wrapping up the shooting of his multi-starrer The Villain by the end of this month. The film has been in the making for a long time now and fans are waiting eagerly for its release. The restlessness among movie buffs has forced the filmmakers to wrap it up soon and decide on the release date.

Two years after the movie was announced, shooting for the film finally started last April. One of the biggest reasons for the hype around The Villain is that it has two top heroes – Shiva Rajkumar and Kiccha Sudeep playing the lead roles. This is the first time that they are sharing screen space.

With the shooting to be wrapped up this month, the director also has plans to release the teaser soon. The teaser release has been postponed on multiple occasions in the past, leaving fans unhappy. Initially, it was announced that the teaser would be out in December last year, which was postponed to January but it did not materialise even then.

According to sources, the director is looking to can a song sequence with the film’s heroine Amy Jackson and is waiting for her dates. The song will feature Sudeep and Amy Jackson and will be shot in four days. Also, director Prem is yet to shoot some important sequences with Shiva Rajkumar, which will take another four days.  According to reports, the film’s Hindi rights have already been sold for Rs 5.4 crore. We also hear that a big portion of the massive budget has been allocated for the graphics work.

Shiva Rajkumar and Sudeep play the lead roles in this flick with Amy Jackson as their heroine. The rest of the star cast include Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty, Srikanth and Sruthi Hariharan. The film has music scored by Arjun Janya with Girish R Gowda handling the camera. The Villain has been bankrolled by producer CR Manohar under his banner Tanvi - Shanvi Films.
