Talking about his role at the trailer launch, Akshay said that it’d take him five-six hours to get ready to play his character. Akshay shared a picture of himself in his 2.0 avatar as the villain, who is now being called as 'crow man', with heavy makeup on his face, red lenses on his eyes and feathers covering him from head to toe.

He had also joked that it was the only film in his life where he had to spend time for makeup much longer than the lead actress.

Amy Jackson plays the female lead in this sci-fi thriller. The others in the star cast are Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and Riyaz Khan. The film’s technical crew comprises AR Rahman for songs with the background score done by him and Qutub-E-Kripa, Nirav Shah for camera and Anthony for editing.

Director Shankar had completed the shooting of this film several months ago and the post-production has been happening for nearly a year now. With a huge amount of graphics work to be included in 2.0, its release was postponed on several occasions in the past.
