Nivetha Thomas to star opposite Akhil Akkineni?

Akhil Akkineni’s film with director Bommarilu Bhaskar will reportedly go on to the floors next month and the actor is gearing up for it. This untitled film is produced jointly by Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas. Touted to be a rom com, the film’s star cast and crew are expected to be revealed officially soon. On the genre of this film, we hear that it will be an emotional family drama. Akhil reportedly agreed to do this project after the director convinced him with the strong storyline line, say sources.

Soon after wrapping up this film, Akhil will be moving over to another Prashanth Varma directorial. The shooting of this film is likely to commence in December. According to the industry grapevine, Nivetha Thomas has been approached to play the hero’s lead pair in it. We hear that it is a crime thriller that will be bankrolled under the banner Matinee Entertainments. Both Akhil as well as Nivetha Thomas will be sporting new looks in the film.

Nivetha Thomas is fast emerging as one of the most wanted heroines in the Telugu film industry. Her role in Ninnu Kori and Jai Lava Kusa were well appreciated but it was in the Kalyan Ram starrer 118 that the actor proved that she can handle any type of role with ease. 118 was bankrolled by PRO Mahesh Koneru under his banner East Coast Productions and directed by KV Guhan. Sharing the screen space with Kalyan Ram in this flick as his heroines were Nivetha Thomas and Shalini Pandey.

She is currently busy with the multi starrer that Indraganti Mohan Krishna is directing. The film, touted to be a neo noir thriller, has Nani and Sudheer Babu playing the lead roles.

Nivetha Thomas currently has Swaasa and the Rajinikanth starrer Darbar directed by AR Murugadoss.
