The entertainer is based on the short story Pranayopanishath penned by author VJ James. With screenplay by M Sindhuraj, it had the Drishyam pair Mohanlal and Meena essaying the lead roles. The film was bankrolled by Sophia Paul under the banner Weekend Blockbusters. Bijibal composed two songs and the background music while Jayachandran composed two other songs. Cinematography was by Pramod K Pillai and editing by Sooraj ES.

Mohanlal’s next release is 1971: Beyond Borders, a war film, directed by Major Ravi. The film shooting has been completed and it is likely to hit the screens on April 7, 2017. Tollywood hero Allu Sirish is playing an important role in this flick.
