Mohanlal’s film rights not sold yet

Written by : TNM

Mohanlal’s Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol released to packed houses recently and the film is doing well at the box office. Also starring Meena, the Drishyam magic seems to have rubbed off on MT too.

The film's box office success gave rise to reports that Tollywood star Venkatesh will be reprising Mohanlal’s role in the Telugu remake. However, scriptwriter M Sindhuraj has refuted it. The Times of India quoted him as saying: “We have not sold the rights yet. It’s too premature to announce about the remake rights right now. It’s been just 10 days since the film’s release and all of us are happy that the movie is doing well.”

Directed by Jibu Joseph and written by Sindhuraj, MT is based on the story Pranayopanishath written by VJ James and published in the year 2011.

Bijibal and M. Jayachandran have both contributed music for the film.
