Superstar Mahesh Babu, who has teamed up with filmmaker AR Murugadoss for the first time in a bilingual project, is currently busy shooting for the film in Chennai’s EVP world.

The actor will be seen playing a stylish intelligence officer in this mega-budget thriller, simultaneously being made in Tamil and Telugu. While several reports hinted that he will be playing a cop, a reliable source confirmed that he won’t be donning the khaki in the film.

In the schedule currently being filmed, the makers are shooting some action sequences. According to the source, this will be the most stylish film in both Mahesh’s and Murugadoss’s careers.

Also starring Rakul Preet Singh and SJ Suryah, the film was rumoured to be the sequel to “Thuppakki”. However, the source clarified that while both projects belong to the same genre, they have nothing else in common.

The makers are considering shooting a brief portion of the film abroad and are currently on the lookout for a suitable location.
