The Hindu wins best website of the year award

The News Minute | February 27, 2015 | 3.58 pm ISTThe Hindu’s website (www.thehindu.com), which was the first newspaper website in India , has won the Website Of The Year award for the year 2014.The award is given out by MetrixLab a firm which provides insights into consumer behaviour and marketing analytics. The Hindu won the award in the News and Information category. According to a report in The Hindu, 252 websites were nominated in 21 categories. It also says that the website stands at 10th in the newspaper section on Alexia website rankings. The Hindu has apps for Android and iPad.The Hindu had launched its website in June 1995.In the year 2013, The Times of India won the won the best website of the year award given out by Ascendas Website Of The Year Awards.
