The first schedule of actor Mammootty's new action entertainer MaduraRaja has been wrapped up and the second schedule is currently on. The film, directed by Vysakh, will be released in Vishu next year.
According to reports, the MahuraRaja team is shooting a fight sequence between Mammootty and Jagapathi Babu.This will be a long schedule and a very important fight sequence for which 25 days have been allotted.
The film is a sequel to the hit 2010 film Pokkiri Raja which was directed by Vysakh and starred Mammootty and Prithviraj in the lead. Prithviraj will be seen in a cameo role in the sequel with Sunny Leone roped in for a dance sequence.
While Tamil actor Jai will be seen in a prominent role in MaduraRaja, the rest of the cast include Siddique, Aju Varghese, Anna Rajan, Anusree, Nedumudi Venu, Vijayaraghavan, Salim Kumar, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Bala, Bijukuttan and Manikuttan.
The film has been scripted by Vysakh in association with Uday Krishna. Speaking about the film, Uday Krishna told in an interview to the Times of India much earlier that its climax would the highlight and that extensive special effects will be used for it. He said, “We will be using visual effects in the climax scenes of the movie and it will be an absolute spectacle. We are sure that it will amaze the audience especially the action scenes in these portions.”
The film is bankrolled by Nelson Ipe under his banner. Ttechnical crew of the new film includes Gopi Sunder for music, Shaji Kumar for cinematography and John Kutty for editing.
Mammootty will also be seen in Ganagandharvan, a film directed by comedian-turned-filmmaker Ramesh Pisharody. He will also be working with director Ranjith in which he is playing the world's richest Keralite, and with actor-filmmaker Nadirshah for a film titled I am a Disco Dancer.
