Dulquer’s Kammati Paadam to have Tamil remake

Written by : TNM

After impressing audiences and critics alike, Dulquer Salmaan’s Kammati Paadam has become the talk of tinseltown. The latest update is that the film’s Tamil remake is on the cards and it might feature Arya or Simbu.

“Everything is at the nascent stage now. Neither Arya nor Simbu have been approached for the remake. However, the producer who is in talks to acquire the remake rights plans to approach these actors as he felt their image will suit the lead character more convincingly,” a source told The News Minute, and added that the remake rights will be officially acquired in a week’s time.

Producers from Hindi and Telugu industries have already expressed interest in remaking the film. According to trusted sources, Arjun Kapoor and Akhil Akkineni are said to be the top contenders for the lead role in the film’s remake in Hindi and Telugu, respectively.

Directed by Rajeev Ravi, the film narrates the story of how a small place called Kammati Paadam paved the way to Cochin and all of this is set against the backdrop of local hooliganism, black-ticket mafia, liquor peddling and friendship.
