Written by : Digital Native

The shooting for the Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy recommenced recently after a short gap. For this schedule, a village set has been erected and according to sources some action scenes will be shot during this time.

Top Hollywood technicians have been roped in for this action block as it involves battle scenes in which the lead character Uyyalawada Narsimha Reddy and his soldiers will be seen fighting the British troops. Sources say that these action scenes will be shot in the night and that requires further technical expertise.

The shooting for the biopic on the legendary freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy began late last year and is progressing steadily. Directed by Surendhar Reddy, the film is bankrolled by Ram Charan Teja under his banner Konidela Production Company on a budget of Rs 200 crore. The screenplay for the biopic has been penned by the director himself and the dialogues have been written by Sai Madhav Burra.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has a bevy of stars from different film industries, including Amitabh Bachchan who will be seen in a guest role. Big B is reportedly playing an important role in the film and as speculated he will be seen as Narasimha Reddy’s mentor and guru. The others in the star cast include Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Jagapathi Babu, Sudeep, Pragya Jaiswal and Brahmaji. R Rathnavelu is the cameraman for this film.

When the film was launched, it was announced that the Oscar winning music director AR Rahman would be composing the tunes and the camera would be handled by Santosh Sivan. However, they later opted out when the film’s shooting was delayed for various reasons.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is expected to hit the silver screens early next year. Being a period film with Chiru in a different get-up altogether, his fans eagerly await its release.
