Written by : TNM

The regular shooting of megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, which has been tentatively titled Kathilantodu, will start from June 20 in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.

To be helmed by V.V Vinayak, the film which will see Chiranjeevi in dual roles, is the official remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi. Ram Charan is debuting as a producer and the project will be bankrolled under the newly floated banner of his family. Chiru, as he’s fondly called by his fans, will sport two different looks and the makers have kept it under wraps for now.

National award-winning art director Thota Tharani has been roped in to erect a specially designed jail set to shoot the initial portions of the film. In the Tamil version, the jail set was erected in Kolkata; however, it’s not known yet where the makers of Kathilantodu will shoot this portion. Devi Sri Prasad is said to have already started working on the tunes and has been closely working with Chiranjeevi on the film’s music.

With just under two weeks left to start shooting, the makers are still yet to finalize the leading lady.
