Chiranjeevi’s 150th film to start shooting in two weeks, but no heroine in sight

Written by : TNM Staff

With just two weeks to go for shooting to begin on Chiranjeevi's highly anticipated 150th film, tentatively titled “Kathilantodu”, the makers of the film have a tough task ahead of them. They are yet to finalise the female lead who will star in the film.

While Anushka had been the preferred choice from the start of the project, it has now turned out that she was unable to find appropriate dates that she could allocate for this project.

Anushka had also expressed a storng interest in being a part of the project, because she has always wished to work with Chiranjeevi. However, as she is currently busy with three projects in her kitty – “Singam 3”, “Baahubali 2” and “Bhagmati” – she couldn't set aside any dates for Chiru 150, and hence, had to turn down the offer. The makers are now reportedly in talks with a few other actors including Illeana and Sushmita Sen.

To be helmed by VV Vinayak, the film is an official remake of the Tamil film “Kaththi”, and is scheduled to hit the screens next year around the time of the Sankranti festival.
