Ajith’s Vivegam theatrical rights’ negotiations on, initial quote of Rs 50 crore

The shooting of Ajith’s Vivegam is happening right now and the pre-release trade has begun already. According to sources, the price quoted for the theatrical rights of this magnum opus is a whopping Rs.50 crores.

While the film’s shooting commenced in Slovenia last year, a few scenes were shot in India as well. The Vivegam unit is currently in Bulgaria where important scenes are being canned by director Siva. The film is touted to hit the silver screens in August this year.

Directed by Siva, who had directed Ajith in Veeram and Vedhalam earlier, Vivegam has Ajith and Kajal Agarwal playing the lead pair with Akshara Haasan also in the star cast. Vivek Oberoi plays the villain in this action entertainer.

Produced under the banner Sathya Jyothi Films by TG Thyagarajan, Anirudh is composing tunes for Vivegam. Sources have it that just one song has been shot so far and the director will be filming the rest of the numbers abroad. With negotiations going on between leading players in the market for the rights, a deal can be expected to come through soon.
