Kaaka Muttai fame actor Aishwarya Rajesh has hit a jackpot. She is set to team up with Vikram in Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram, which already stars Ritu Varma. While Aishwarya is yet to officially sign on the dotted line, she has already given a screen test.

“Contrary to reports, she hasn’t started shooting yet. However, she has given a screen test and is waiting to officially sign the project. It’s going to be the biggest project of her career,” a source said.

Aishwarya will play the main lead while Ritu will be seen as the second heroine. However, both the heroines will have equal importance and screen presence. Apparently, Aishwarya was considered long back but she was only recently approached by the makers after they ran out of other options. The film originally starred Anu Emmanuel, but she chose to exit the project after her dates clashed with her Telugu commitments.

Meanwhile, the team has undergone a major reshuffle. Lensman Jomon T John, who even shot the film’s teaser, has walked out of the project following prior commitments. He has gone on to sign the latest part in the Golmaal franchise with Rohit Shetty. Ace cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran’s son Santhana Krishnan has been roped in as his replacement.
