For Afghanistan, celebration was justified - it was their national team’s first win in the maiden world Cup. While the cricketers themselves were jubilant on the field after their victory, back home in the country, ecstatic Afghans celebrated with gunfire, reported BBC. As fans raced around Kabul waving Afghan flags from car windows, and honking their horns, celebratory gunfire too followed in which six people were wounded.
