In Pictures: Jayalalithaa supporters celebrate her return home

With the Supreme Court having granted her bail on Friday, Jayalalithaa's party workers thronged the streets of both Karnataka near the Central Jail and near her residence in Poes Garden,Tamil Nadu, clearly in a mood of celebration. Though Jayalalithaa was only released from the Central Jail around 3 in the afternoon, preparations to welcome the former Chief of Tamil Nadu has begun early in the day. A rainy day did not seem to have dampened the jubilant spirits of Jayalalithaa's men and women. In what many feel is an early onset of Diwali for Tamil Nadu and especially AIADMK, the rejoice seems to have just begun. Her release, even if temporary, is as much a win for her people as for her. Here are a few pictures that capture the essence of the day, the culmination of a 21 day wait for their Amma. And when Amma finally arrived...
