The News Minute | November 20, 2014 | 5:45pm IST | Google recently launched an alternate version of its email service with a new interface called Google inbox. The new invite-based mobile and web app is an attempt by Google to segregate content on your email in neatly categorized sections. The new app features the option of snooze which lets you hide emails from your inbox but have them pop up later as reminders. The bookmark equivalent pin function in the new app allows its users to lock important emails in the inbox so they are not pushed to the bottom of the page. The reverse function of the same allows the user to categorize emails as unimportant with a low priority flag which assures similar messages don’t pop back in the inbox.Bundles is another feature of Inbox which allows the users to categorizes emails in preset tabs and get listed with other similar emails on request. It also allows users to move individual emails to and from these bundles. The new messaging system is yet to be made public and Google controls most of the invites sent out to people currently.
