Automation Anywhere, one of the leaders in robotic process automation (RPA), hosted India's first-ever Botathon at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering in Bengaluru. The event was organised to inspire students, developers and IT professionals to create software bots and engage in new RPA career paths as the technology becomes more ubiquitous across India. 

The Botathon included participation from more than 30 colleges in Karnataka. More than 1,000 students experienced hands-on learning during the event and competed in a bot-building program where they showcased their skills in RPA to improve their employability after graduation. Out of 500 students shortlisted for the product assessment program, 105 made it to the final bot building competition.

The three winners of Botathon Bengaluru 2019 included the winner, Siva Sankari from Christ University; Yash Shah, the first runner-up and Nikita Hakari, the second runner up.  Both Yash and Nikita attend Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering.

 “The Botathon initiative from Automation Anywhere encourages students to acquire a better understanding of RPA. Automation Anywhere plans to host additional Botathons in Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Jalandhar, and Delhi NCR beginning next month.
