The digital poster and trailer of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's next movie Kaththi has already created a buzz. This is the second time director Murugadoss and Vijay have teamed up after “Thuppakki”.

Kaththi, which has music by Anirudh Ravichander, is slated for Diwali release. It also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Neil Nitin Mukesh in important roles.

The poster was released as a birthday gift to the actor who turned 40 on Sunday. However, there have also been stories doing the rounds on the net that the motion film poster has been inspired by a similar picture made as an ad for the New York Times in 2012. (Both movies have been linked below)
