The AP Film Employees Federation and the Telugu Film Producers reached an amicable settlement after talks on Friday, ending an almost month long strike called by the Union.

Tollywood producers breathed a huge sigh of relief after the Union members called off the strike on Friday evening and agreed to work with the newly discussed terms.

As many as 14,000 workers from 24 crafts of Telugu filmdom went on strike in Hyderabad on November 27 over low wages and employment regulations.

The strike affected the shooting of many Telugu films not only in the state, but nationwide as well because Andhra Pradesh Film Industry Employees Federation has also alerted its national body the All India Film Employees Confederation (AIFEC) to not allow shooting anywhere else in the country during the strike period.

Several big budget movies like Temper, I and Gopala Gopala have been planned for a grand Sankranthi release which can get back on track, now that the strike is called off.
