Won't attend extravagant swearing-in-ceremony of Naidu says Jagan

The News Minute| June 8, 2014| 8.12 AM ISTA massive stage in a 70 acre area between Vijaywada and Guntur and more than four lakh people expected to attend the swearing-in-ceremony of Chandrababu Naidu as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. But one person will be conspicuous with his absence- YSRC leader Jagan Mohan Reddy.Jagan has announced he will not attend the ‘coronation’ as he does not want to be part of the extravagant swearing-in ceremony when the state is in deep crisis.Speaking to reporters here on Saturday after the review meeting of five north coastal Andhra districts he said: “On one hand Naidu has been seeking donations from the people to build the capital city and on the other an estimated Rs 30 crores is being lavishly spent on the swearing-in ceremony which at this point of time is not wise and I leave it to their wisdom but I personally will not ratify such a wasteful expenditure.”Jagan also claims that a section of the media has been trying to project that Naidu has limited resources and empty coffers suggesting that loan waiver may be difficult.
