"BJP, AIADMK, DMK offered me money, but I chose PWF": Vijayakant speaks to TNM

In an exclusive interview to The News Minute, People’s Welfare Front’s Chief Ministerial candidate and DMDK leader Vijayakant opens up about party ideology, the DMK and AIADMK duopoly and his Chief ministerial post.

He sums up his ideology: “Employment to all, get rid of corruption completely, get rid of poverty by providing basic necessities – food, water, shelter,” but notes that when it comes to getting shelter, there will be a fair amount of corruption to deal with. On his changing constituencies from Vridhachalam to Rishivandhiyam to Ulundurpet, “Whichever constituency has more villages, I try contesting from there. Won’t I not win? I won last time. It’s all a matter of 5 years. I have not robbed people of even a pie.”
