His wife Mariyam lodged a complaint alleging foul play and stated Ali had expressed concerns about receiving death threats from the illegal operators. The Thirumayam police registered a case and arrested four people, including lorry owner in connection with the activist's death. The family of Jagaber Ali alleges that it was due to the inaction of the local authorities against the mining mafia, Jagaber Ali lost his life. The case has now been transferred to the CBCID for further investigation. Would the local administration find the main accused or cover up the case?
