

A 31-year-old woman from Telangana died in a road accident in Missouri, US, after a truck allegedly rammed the car she was travelling in. Daram Supriya, from Maripeda mandal in Mahabubabad district, was returning home after closing her restaurant in St Louis when the accident occurred, her family members told media.
According to reports, the accident reportedly took place around 2.20 am on October 5. Supriya died on the spot, while her friend, another woman from Telangana who was travelling with her, sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
According to Supriya’s family, the two women were returning home in a car when a truck hit their vehicle from behind. Further details about the circumstances of the accident and the condition of the injured woman are awaited.
Supriya had been running a restaurant in St Louis. She had married Kodumuri Ranjith, who works in the software sector, around five years ago. The couple has a two-and-a-half-year-old son.
Supriya’s father, Daram Srinivas, has written to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, seeking the state government’s assistance in bringing his daughter’s mortal remains back to India so that the family can perform her last rites.
Family members are currently awaiting further information from authorities in the US.
