A migrant worker hailing from Telangana’s Jagtial district passed away in Israel on Monday, June 15. The deceased, Revella Ravinder, succumbed to a heart attack. His family has sought the intervention of the Ministry of External Affairs to bring back his body.
Speaking to local media, Ravinder’s wife Vijayalakshmi said that her husband had gone to Israel on a visit visa for a part-time job.
“When the conflict began, he called us and expressed fear that he would die because of the continual bombings,” Vijayalakshmi said, referring to the escalating military tensions between Israel and Iran.
Vijayalakshmi told the media that hospital authorities had informed her about her husband’s death.
As the Israel-Iran conflict entered its sixth day, hostilities between the two nations continued to escalate. Several missiles from Iran were fired at Israel, triggering air raid sirens in Haifa and dozens of other cities across northern Israel and the occupied Golan Heights, according to the Israeli military.
