The Telangana IAS Officers Association on Thursday, November 28, strongly condemned Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former IT Minister KT Rama Rao's remarks against Sircilla District Collector. The association has called KTR’s speech "unwarranted" and "detrimental to civil service dignity."

Referring to Rajanna Sircilla Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, KTR had alleged that a "Congress worker" was sitting as the Collector in Sircilla and was being brought in to conduct "vengeful politics."

“We've built a great collectorate here at Sircilla. But today, a Congress worker is sitting as the Collector here. Such fools are being brought in to do vengeful politics. It's alright, doesn't matter. No one can pluck a hair of BRS,” KTR said

In a sharply worded statement, the association alleged that KTR’s public comments questioning the Collector's impartiality and describing him as a "Congress worker" constitute an unprecedented attack on administrative neutrality.

"It is disturbing that public officials are being targeted by persons holding responsible positions," the association said, demanding an immediate retraction and apology for the "derogatory statement."

The officers' body emphasised that civil servants work tirelessly under challenging circumstances to ensure effective governance and such personal attacks undermine institutional integrity.
