

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in view of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds predicted across 11 districts of Telangana for Tuesday, May 20.
In its weather bulletin issued on Monday, May 19, heavy rain is expected in isolated places in Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal.
Districts like Warangal, Khammam, Medak, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar and Hyderabad are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall.
Thunderstorms, lightning along with gusty winds at the speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour are expected in Hyderabad by Tuesday evening.
As per the IMD, orange alert is expecting on Thursday, May 22, in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Jagtial, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Kamareddy, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Medak, Wanaparthy, Mahabubnagar and Nagarkurnool.
According to the IMD’s daily weather report, Hyderabad recorded a maximum of 35.2 degrees celsius and minimum of 27.1 degrees celsius. Adilabad is the hottest district with a maximum of 40.3 degrees celsius while Hanmakonda has recorded the lowest temperature with a minimum of 22.5 degrees celsius.
