Actor Allu Arjun has announced a financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the family of Revathi, who lost her life in a stampede during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The actor also assured that the film's team would cover the medical and other expenses related to the incident.

Expressing shock and grief, Arjun said in a video message that such a tragic incident had never occurred during his career. "After we learned about the incident, we couldn’t participate in the film’s success celebrations on the first day. We were all deeply saddened. The reason we make movies is for people to come to theatres and enjoy themselves. Such an incident happening in a theatre is beyond words," he said.

He urged fans to exercise caution while attending theatres. "Our intention is to provide good entertainment in your lives. My request is to enjoy the movie and return home safely. Please be a little careful when you visit theatres," he added.

Offering condolences to Revathi’s family, Arjun said the team would stand by them. "I want to convey my condolences to Revathi’s family on behalf of myself and the entire Pushpa team. This loss can never be compensated. We will do everything possible to support the family emotionally and financially. I am donating Rs 25 lakh as a goodwill gesture and will extend support to secure the future of her children," he stated.

The tragedy occurred on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad’s RTC X Roads, where a massive crowd had gathered to watch the film premiere. Revathi, 35, had attended the screening with her husband and two children. She died of suffocation as the crowd surged to catch a glimpse of the actor. Her eight-year-old son remains in critical condition.

Police later revealed they were not informed about the actor’s arrival at the theatre, which contributed to the chaos.
