There is one media organisation that feels 'vindicated' now that the All India Bakchod (AIB) has pulled out its roast videos from YouTube- India.com
In a report, titled AIB Knockout: With police action, India.com stand against vulgar AIB Roast vindicated!, India.com states that it 'had taken a stand against the event and also the airing of the videos on YouTube without putting an ‘A’ or Adult rating.' And now that 'AIB has removed the videos entirely from YouTube, we feel vindicated!'
AIB on Wednesday pulled down the videos, of its roast of actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, from YouTube following opposition from several political parties and an announcement by the Maharashtra government to initiate a probe into the show.
India.com states that even though the live event created a 'filth', and 'was filled with cuss words and dirty gestures', it still managed to go viral on the internet.
Tanmay Bhat, one of the comedians of AIB, reportedly shared the link to an India.com report titled 'OMG! Deepika Padukone’s cleavage photograph in Times of India was taken by Ranveer Singh', saying the latter didn't get the joke.
India.com claims the two female journalists who wrote this were trolled by Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and AIB fans on Twitter, who used abusive language against these girls and made their life hell' 'for sharing an opinion on the AIB Knockout roast'.
The media organisation also has problems with Deepika Padukone, who according to them should not have just sat there at the roast and laughed off jokes on her cleavage controversy'.
India.com's stand they say is: 'We at India.com are all for freedom of expression. After all, cuss words are used everywhere, even in police stations and our movies. But even the movies have an adult rating. For AIB to hold such an event and share it on YouTube and say that this is the new ‘it’ culture of India is not helping the women who are getting raped thanks to this mentality.'
