The News Minute | September 13, 2014 | 08:21 am ISTDelhi High Court on Friday asked the CBI what was the hurry in filing a closure report in the coal block allocation scam case against billionaire Kumar Mangalam Birla and others. The CBI had earlier lodged an FIR against Kumar Mangalam Birla among others, states a report by The New Indian Express. Special CBI Judge Bharat Parashar asked the investigating officer (IO), "What was the hurry to close this case?"The CBI was unable to answer some queries of the court, and also did not bring the case diary, for which the investigating agency drew flak. “On what basis you (CBI) have drawn such conclusion (to close the case)? What kind of investigation you have done? What was the supervisory officer doing? Bring the police file and call your supervisory officer in the court now,” The New Indian Express quotes the judge while speaking to the IO.
