A few days ago, a video posted by cricketer Viral Kohli triggered a controversy. In the video, his wife Bollywood actor-producer Anushka Sharma is seen reprimanding a man from their car window about littering.
The face of the man, Arhhan Singh, was visible in the video, which many people found objectionable, along with the fact that the star couple could have chosen to do a good deed without recording and broadcasting it.
Saw these people throwing garbage on the road & pulled them up rightfully. Travelling in a luxury car and brains gone for a toss. These people will keep our country clean? Yeah right! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same & spread awareness. @AnushkaSharma pic.twitter.com/p8flrmcnba

It now appears that a miffed Arhhan has sent a legal notice to Virat and Anushka for shaming him on social media.
News agency ANI reported Arhhan as saying, “My legal advisors have sent a notice to Mr Virat Kohli and Mrs Anushka Sharma Kohli. As the ball is in their court, no comments now. As in all fairness, I should await their response.”
Arhhan’s mother, Gittanjali Singh Modecai also confirmed that they had sent a notice to the couple but did not give more details. His lawyer Veena Advani said that while there was much to say for Arhhan who was “publicly condemned” after the incident, they would wait for the “true spirit of sportsmanship” from Virat and Anushka now that they have been served the notice.
Anushka’s spokesperson said that their legal team was perusing the matter.
Arhhan had previously identified himself and made a scathing post on social media criticising Virat and Anushka for their actions. While apologizing for his “carelessness”, he addressed Anushka and said that “a little etiquette and politeness” in her dialogue wouldn’t have made her “a lesser star”.
“The garbage that mistakenly went out of the window of my luxury car was way less than the garbage that came out from your mouth, from your luxury car's window. Or the trashy mind Virat Kohli, to shoot and post this online for whatever gains,” he added.
Meanwhile Congress party leader Sanjay Jha was among those who slammed the celebrity couple for their actions and tweeted, “Celebrities don’t need to promote themselves when supposedly attempting a good thing. How much publicity do you want, guys?”
