The News Minute | August 28, 2014 | 10:08 am ISTA supplementary chargesheet has been filed by the Goa Police against Tarun Tejpal, including an email from Hollywood actor Robert De Niro and recorded conversations between the Tehelka journalist and Shoma Chaudhury, states a report by Hindustan Times. Tejpal, the former editor-in-chief of Tehelka magazine, who is currently out on bail has been charged with the rape and sexual assault of a junior colleague in 2013 in Goa during a conference organised by the magazine. De Niro, who was part of the conference, sent his response to the Goa police in May. According to the Hindustan Times report, De Niro confirmed that he was a part of the conference and 'was being chaperoned by the journalist and one other member of the hotel staff'. He, however, came to know of the case from media reports.
