The News Minute| June 24, 2014| 12.24 pm ISTPeople talk about what happens behind closed doors. Currently, something that is supposed to happen in full public view (at private gatherings of course) – a stripper doing her job – is being well, watched. By a lot of people.A video has been doing the rounds on social media, being privately circulated on messaging groups of a stripper entertaining people at a conference. Though the video shows no indication of where and when the event was organised, there are two large LCD screens visible in the background with tyre-manufacturer CEAT's logo and tag line. The company has denied all responsibility. The details of what occurs in the video are too graphic to reproduce here. But what we can tell you is that the logo of the company can be clearly seen on two display screens on the stage. The event appears to be a formal dinner, with tables and chairs laid out. These are the details gathered by looking at the background as the stripper goes about her business. In an emailed statement to The News Minute, CEAT “categorically” denied “any involvement with this video”. It said that it had filed a complaint with the police, but did not mention which police. This is the company’s statement: “The management of CEAT would like to clarify that the company condemns the vulgar content doing the rounds on social media that features the company logo in the background. The company categorically denies this act being part of any event briefing, approval, patronage or sanction within or outside India. We are cooperating with the authorities to put an end to this matter and have already filed a complaint with the police in this regard. We assure the public that CEAT abides by the highest standards of ethics, values and governance.”
