A week after the CBI arrested one of the men suspected to be in a gangrape video which was being circulated on whatsapp, it made its second arrest on Tuesday of an accused from Cuttack in Orissa.
The accused identified as Debashis Dev (30) of Hulipur in Cuttack, has been arrested for recording the video clip in which Subrat Sahu, arrested earlier, for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman.
The CBI arrested Sahu, a property dealer from Bhubaneswar on March 23 and had registered eight FIRs and started a preliminary enquiry into the videos.
Quoting sources, a Hindustan Times report adds that the CBI found that Sahu had allegedly raped and filmed several girls, after they seized a large number of video clippings from various hard disks.

The videos came to light when activist Sunitha Krishnan had shared two of them on social media as she began a #ShameTheRapist Campaign. Soon after, the videos were taken off YouTube, as it violated its terms of service. The edited videos had blurred the faces of the women. It had also shown the alleged rapists smiling into the cameras.
However, the third video, from which the two people have been identified and arrested, was never made public.
The Supreme Court later, ordered the CBI to look into the videos and take the necessary action.
Speaking to The News Minute, Krishnan had said that the campaign was running its course and people have come out in support of it. The CBI had also announced Rs 1 lakh for anyone who can identify the perpetrators.
Sunitha is also the chief functionary and co-founder of Prajwala - a non-governmental organization that rescues, rehabilitates and reintegrates sex-trafficked victims into society.
"The culprits are currently being booked only under the IT Act and a few other cases, which is why we are trying to also track down the victims. If we find them, I plan to personally meet them and talk to them about standing up in court so the people can be punished," Krishnan earlier told TNM.
Krishnan also said that the main aim behind the campaign is to shame the offenders and not the victim and ensure that the offenders do not flaunt their dastardly act.
