North Korea has issued a warning to adjoining South Korea after activists from the latter country plan reportedly on sending 100,000 DVD’s of the Interview and 500,000 propaganda leaflets across the heavily armed border via balloons.
According to a report in The Strait Times, the North Korean frontline military units on Sunday reportedly told their southern counterparts that “All the firepower strike means of the frontline units of the (Korean People's Army) will launch without prior warning... to blow up balloons”.
The Hollywood film, The Interview, a comedy featuring Seth Rogen and James Franco is an movie with a fictional plot that starts off with the premise that the CIA plans on killing the North Korean dictator.
North Korea though, has taken the matter seriously and has reportedly talked of the “gravest politically-motivated provocation” with regard to South Korea’s American affiliations and have accused the duo of “deliberately escalating tension on the Korean peninsula where the situation has reached the brink of a war”.
