The JEE Advanced examination is held under the watch of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) each year and is conducted by one of the seven IITs (IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, and IIT Guwahati). It is the sole entrance examination to acquire a seat in one of the IITs, and is also one of the examinations used to obtain admission into a few other universities, including the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs) and the Indian Institute of Science.
This year, the exam was conducted on May 27 in two sessions: paper 1 and paper 2, with each paper going on for a duration of three hours each. The National Testing Agency (NTA) had conducted the exam for the first time this year. Each paper carries a value of 186 marks and are both compulsory to take.
Several students reportedly found the exam to be ‘moderately difficult.’ With many adding that physics was the most difficult section while they found math and chemistry to be relatively easier.
