IndiGo has reportedly confirmed the recent incident where two passengers on a flight were caught for allegedly clicking photos of air hostesses and female passengers.
A PTI report carried the airline's statement which reads, "Two IndiGo passengers on board flight 6E-221 on March 24 from Delhi to Imphal via Guwahati were observed to be taking pictures/video of our crew and other passengers on board without permission."
IndiGo also said that the men deleted their recordings when the crew objected to them clicking photos. "The matter was escalated to the authorities concerned and is being reported to the local police station in Guwahati," the statement said.
It added, "Our crew are adequately trained to counter any potential disruptive behaviour, keeping in mind the safety of other passengers and crew, that is paramount to us."
In the incident which took place on Tuesday, Angellica Aribama, a woman who was present in the flight then, put out a series of tweets stating the two men were clicking photos of the air hostess and her sister feeding her baby nearby.
She also posted several pictures of the men and wrote that when confronted they replied saying ‘Kar lo jo karma hai’ (Do what you want to do).
A similar such incident was reported on a IndiGo flight just over a month ago where a passenger shared a video, on social media, of a confrontation with her alleged molester during a flight.
