What has happened to actor Suresh Gopi these days? No one knows really . . .In the past one year the actor has made news quite a few times, and not exactly for his movies.

The actor has been voicing his respect and awe for the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ruling Bharathiya Janata Party rather strongly; and has been openly saying that he is willing to join the party and 'humbly' serve as a minister.

But some of his statements border on being just bizarre. Here are the top most statements of Suresh Gopi which created quite a buzz.

The most recent incident happened on Wednesday when the actor opined that for the completion of the Vizhinjam harbor project in Thiruvananthapuram, the Hindus in the area should unite together. It was unclear as to what exactly the actor meant by this statement. Addressing a march that was undertaken by the residents of Vizhinjam, a locality that lies outside Thiruvananthapuram, who were there to demand the speedy completion of the project, he said- “Only the Hindu unity in the area can make the Vizhinjam project a reality”. He further added that if Hindus stood together, the project will become a reality in no time.

Earlier this month Suresh Gopi branded Facebook as the real “antichrist”. The actor also added that initially he thought cellphone was the “Antichrist”, but then later changed his mind because FB is clearly growing, even more than media houses. Mark, are you listening?

Nevertheless the actor has a very active Facebook page with more than eight lakh followers.

While equating Facebook with “Antichrist”, the actor also mentioned that records like Aadhar cards should be made mandatory for creating Facebook accounts.

A day before the Facebook brouhaha, Suresh Gopi made his political stand very clear. The actor opined that if Narendra Modi invited him to be a minister, he would gladly be one. (We did hear that the Prime Minister have many of these invites kept ready. Come, be a minister)

About a year ago, Suresh Gopi told the media that during a meeting with Narendra Modi he promised Modi that he will serve as the latter’s slave, if he brings about development in Kerala.
