The News Minute | December 28, 2014 | 11:10 am ISTTimes of India on Sunday reportedthat their IIT sources claimed that IIT Delhi director Ragunath K Shevgaonkar had quit his post after reportedly coming under tremendous pressure from the human resource development ministry for two demands.The two demands that made him quit two years before the end of  his term were that he was reportedly asked to provide the IIT ground for a cricket academy that Sachin Tendulkar wanted to open and also pay nearly Rs 70 lakh to former IIT D faculty and now BJP leader, Subramanian Swamy as his “salary dues”The cricketing legend however claimed that the facts in the report about him were fictional and took to his Facebook page to say how appalled he was to read stories that suggested that land has been asked from IIT-D for academy in my name.I have not even planned any academy neither do I want any piece of land for any purpose, he added.
