A sessions court has allowed actor Swetha Basu Prasad, who was sent to a rescue home following her alleged involvement in a prostitution racket, to live with her mother and to be released from the home.
According to a Deccan Chroniclereport, the national award winning actor's mother had earlier filed a petition seeking her custody at a local court in Erramanzil which was dismissed. She then filed another petition challenging the court's decision. This time the criminal court which was hearing her petition asked the actor to be released from the rescue home.
The actor was booked by the police in the first week of September for prostitution and then was sent to a rehabilitation home for six months.
