The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday announced the Class 12 results. While the overall pass percentage stands at 83.4% nationally, Thiruvananthapuram secured top spot as far as region-wise pass percentage is concerned with 98.2%. 

Chennai came second with a pass percentage of 92.93% and it was followed by Delhi at 91.87%. 

A total of 95.43% students from international schools passed the exam. 

Girls and transgender students outclassed boys with pass percentages of 88.70 and 83.3% respectively, while boys secured 79.4%. 

Two girls jointly topped the exam — Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora got 499 marks out of 500.

Over 31 lakh candidates appeared in the Class 12 board exams this year.

The pass percentage for Kendriya Vidyayala schools stood at 98.54%; Tibetan schools at 96%; government-aided schools at 88.49%; while private schools came in at 82.59%.

The 2019 overall pass percentage for Class 12 is marginally better than the 2018 figure which was at 83.01%. Last year, boys had secured a higher pass percentage of 88.31% while girls got 78.99%.

The class 12 exams for the academic year 2018-19 were conducted in February-March 2019.

  • Log on to http://cbseresults.nic.in/cbseresults_cms/Public/Home.aspx
  • Click on Senior School Certificate Examination ( Class XII ) 2019 
  • Enter your Roll No, School No, Centre No, Admit Card ID (as given on Admit Card) and click on ‘Submit’ button
  • The next page will bring up the results.
