
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday, May 13, announced the results of the Class 12 examinations. The overall pass percentage stood at 88.39%.
A total of 17,04,367 students had registered for the CBSE Class 12 exams, out of which 16,92,794 appeared, and 14,96,307 passed.
Girl students outperformed boys by a significant margin of 5.94%, with a pass percentage of 91.64% compared to 85.70% for boys.
Students from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, topped the exams with a pass percentage of 99.60%, followed by Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram (99.32%) and Tamil Nadu’s Chennai (97.39%). Karnataka’s Bengaluru secured (95.95%), Delhi West (95.37%), Delhi East (95.06%), Noida (81.29%), and Prayagraj (79.53%).
In total, 44 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 examinations held between February 15 and April 4, 2025. While the Class 10 exams concluded on March 18, Class 12 exams continued until April 4. The results for the CBSE Class 10 examinations will be announced at 1 PM.
