The CBI will likely need to exhume the bodies of the two rape victims in Badaun within a week as the area is usually flooded with the onset of monsoon.
The bodies have been buried in Atena Ghat, near the river Ganga, and from the last 20 years the area has been witnessing floods, states a report in The Times of India.
The CBI had recently decided to exhume the bodies of the two victims after finding that the previous autopsy was not conducted in a fair manner.
Flood control measures may not work and it is likely that the area will be submerged in a weeks' time.
The report also states that the agency will need permission from a court or the Badaun DM to exhume the bodies, but till now no such request have been made to either of them.
