
The News Minute | February 2, 2015 | Updated 3.15 pm ISTState executive member of the BJP and Kiran Bedi’s election campaign in-charge Naresh Tandon resigned from the party on Monday morning citing dictatorial attitude of BJP’s chief ministerial face. Tandon however took back his resignation by afternoon after a meeting with Amit Shah.In his resignation letter to the national president of the party Amit Shah, Tandon had said that he was unhappy about the manner in which Kiran Bedi was made the chief ministerial candidate of the party. “I have worked for the party for 30 years but I do not agree with the manner in which Kiran Bedi has been made the chief ministerial candidate of the party,†Tandon said in his letter. He added that many BJP volunteers were injured getting lathi charged by Kiran Bedi when she was in the police service, and the same lady has now been made its chief ministerial face.He also says that the way in which Bedi was giving “dictation†to the party workers was something he could not bear. “I have tried to bear all this but I cannot stand anymore,†he says in his resignation letter.He also mentions about a leader who is only interested in women and money, and another one who is corrupt- without taking their names.Later taking back his resignation, Tandon said that his decision to resign was emotional.
