|The News Minute | March 11, 2015 | 3:56 p.m. IST |In what comes as another setback for the AAP, Anjali Damania, the convener of the Maharashtra state unit of the party, has quit over charges of “horse-trading” that she has leveled against the Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal. Damania announced her decision on Twitter along with the link to an India TV news report which features the former Aam Aadmi Party legislator from Rohini, Rajesh Garg. I quit.. Ihave not come into Aap for this nonsense. I believed him.. I backed Arvind for principles not Horse-trading http://t.co/lxMaBkwxeO— Anjali Damania (@anjali_damania) March 11, 2015Earlier, via a leaked audio tape, Garg had alleged that Kejriwal along with Manish Sisodia were planning on poaching six Congress MLAs last year who were planning on floating another party. On March 4, Damania had apologized to all her “AAP colleagues” for attacking Prashant Bhushan on social media and like Ashish Khetan, had deleted all of her earlier tweets. Friends, I beg apology from all my Aap colleagues. I respect Prashantji & was angry with him for talking to media.I was doing the same on SM— Anjali Damania (@anjali_damania) March 3, 2015I have deleted all my tweets.. I feel I too have made a BIG MISTAKE of going public. I stand corrected. I thank the vol who corrected me.— Anjali Damania (@anjali_damania) March 3, 2015A day later, the RTI activist, backed Kejriwal in a series of tweets while also offering suggestions for the party’s functioning and citing the need of volunteers for transparency with regard to party affairs. She also seemed critical of Yogendra Yadav and Mayank Gandhi for speaking out in public. Now just enough... Can't take this anymore... @AapYogendra @mayankgandhi04 I have series of questions for both of you & I want ans in public— Anjali Damania (@anjali_damania) March 5, 2015I am not talking of PB. He is a crusader. I respect him from the bottom of my heart. I am talking of leaders who don't know how to behave.— Anjali Damania (@anjali_damania) March 5, 2015When Anna decided to stay away, some vols blamed Arvind. Tdy they realize it was a big game of Bedi & V.K Singh.PB is genuine but not others— Anjali Damania (@anjali_damania) March 5, 2015I want systems & protocols in place to ensure AAP address genuine issues 1)Funds Committee 2)Code of Conduct for leaders & vols 3)Legal team— Anjali Damania (@anjali_damania) March 5, 2015Her resignation comes at a time when the party is reportedly in crisis with rumours of the ouster of senior party members Yadav and Bhushan doing the rounds. Damania had contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Nagpur against the BJP's Nitin Gadkari.Tweet  Follow @thenewsminute
