The party claims that through these meetings it was giving their voters a say in how their elected representatives spend their local development funds. The criticism comes from the party’s co-founder Shanti Bhushan, who said that Arvind Kejriwal lacks the ability to build a party even though he acknowledged that Kejriwal was a good campaigner. He also said that there was a lack of democracy within the party. Shanti Bhushan’s remarks come even as the party is coping with internal rebellion, and at the same time, creating support for itself among the voters for a fresh election in the Capital. It is with this intention that the party is going door-to-door and interacting with voters, seeking their views on how to use funds for the development of their neighbourhoods.Considering this situation, the party’s members are not making things easier for the top leadership with the formation of the AAP Volunteer Action Manch (AVAM), which had even announced on Tuesday, that it would protest at Jantar Mantar, demanding internal democracy for the party. Bhushan had supported the views of this group, Hindustan Times reported.
