Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu slammed Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on his ‘silence’ on the brutal rape and murder of Dalit law student at Perumbavoor in Kerala.
Speaking at an election rally in Chelakara in Thrissur district, Naidu said that Rahul has no time to visit the victim’s family, as the incident happened in a Congress-ruled state.
"The student was raped and murdered in Kerala. Rahul has no time to visit because his party is ruling the state. He visits Hyderabad twice to politicise student’s suicide,” he was quoted as saying.
Later on Saturday, he took to Twitter to raise the same point.
Kerala people are asking why when a student and a dalit girl was brutally raped and murdered Rahul is not visiting kerala.

Rahul Gandhi, had on 3 May, tweeted that “Kerala government would take swift action to bring to guilty to book.”

Ahead of Assembly polls in the state, Rahul is expected to visit Kerala on May 11 and 12 for campaigning.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited Palakkad on Saturday, criticized the Congress-led Kerala government for its inability to arrest the culprit.
